The majority of the features, like the UI and enemies, I was already in the process of conceptualizing and drawing before I was aware of the jam. When the theme was revealed, I adapted the idea to work in a significantly smaller space and obey the color palette, as well as animate the UI. I hope you like the .gif regardless!
